The hype around these products when they first hit shelves in late 2013 was crazy. Trying to find a store which had these lip products in stock was nearly impossible. Eventually I got my hands on NY-CEE, the red one. More recently I also picked up TOK-I-O, a bright purple colour.

Velourlips Matte Creams are matte liquid lipsticks which is a trend that is becoming increasingly popular recently. The colour payoff for these lipsticks is phenomenal, a little bit of product goes a long way. On the downside, they are very drying, which is a common problem with matte lip products.
The application of these products is difficult. The product is very thick, and the applicator is not suitable for it. I would suggest using a lip brush to apply the product.
With all the hype around these products I expected a lot from them, and in some way I was let down. The wear time for these is around about 3 hours at a stretch. These products look good for a couple of hours but do start to wear off very easily, and I find my self always looking to make sure that the product is still on.
Handy hint: Mixing NY-CEE and TOK-I-O together makes a really unique colour.
